Weston County Library, in conjunction with the Internal Revenue Service’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) workers, will offer free tax preparation services for 2010 returns. IRS certified preparers will be available to help people with incomes under $50,000 complete basic income tax returns. There is no charge for this service.
Initially, we will begin offering this service on February 28, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Please call the library at 746-2206 for an appointment. Walk-in’s are welcome although those with appointments will be honored first.
Please bring all forms W-2 and 1099’s, information from other income, information for all deductions/credits, a copy of last year’s tax return, proof of account for direct deposit of refund, social security cards for you, your spouse and/or dependents, and proof of identification for yourself and/or your spouse.
